ABOUT ME

I graduated from the Irish School of Homeopathy (Dublin) in 2011 with a Licentiate Certificate (LicISH) followed by a Post Graduate Certificate in The Practical Application of Advanced Homeopathy in 2012. I’m also a fully registered member of the Irish Society of Homeopaths (ISHom) and adhere to their code of ethics.

I’m originally from London and moved to Dublin with my husband and young family nearly 20 years ago. I love yoga, sea swimming and going to art exhibitions…I also love colour and how it affects our emotions, so I did a professional training in Colour Therapy (Dip C Th) and use this knowledge to help my clients.

I’ve always had an interest in natural health and I first came across homeopathy when I was working in the media & creative industry in London. I loved my job but the stressful environment and constant international travel was taking its toll on my health. I was also trying to get pregnant and a friend of mine recommended that I try homeopathy. So I went to see a wonderful homeopath in North London who took my case and asked me all sorts of in-depth questions about my health history and lifestyle. She then prescribed several different remedies over the course of a good few months and I finally fell pregnant and gave birth to my first baby daughter. Homeopathy was a game changer for me and I’ve been using it as a primary source of medicine ever since.

More About Homeopathy

Homeopathy is based on the Law of Similars which states that ‘like cures like’ (from the Latin similia similibus curentur) whereby a substance that produces a symptom in a healthy person can cure the same symptom in a sick person. It was first described by Hippocrates, the Ancient Greek philosopher and physician, over 2,500 years ago and was later developed as a natural system of medicine by a German doctor, Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843).

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens when you see a homeopath?

I will take detailed notes of your presenting complaint & medical history. As I want to know more about you as a person and what makes you tick, I will delve more deeply into what is bothering you. This means asking you questions about your likes and dislikes, worries and fears, food preferences, sleep, how the weather affects you and what makes your condition better or worse.

How long does a consultation & treatment last?

As I have to ask a lot of questions about you and your health, the first consultation will last 1 ½ hours. Subsequent consultations will typically last 45 – 60 mins, depending on what needs to be discussed.

How do you take the remedies?

Homeopathic remedies can be prescribed in pill, granules, liquid or tincture form and are taken orally on a clean mouth (20 mins before or after eating and brushing your teeth). Some remedies can be taken topically as a cream or ointment. Arnica cream is the most popular and widely used homeopathic cream for bumps and bruises.

How long does the treatment take?

It depends on the type of complaint and whether your condition is long standing (chronic) or more recent (acute). Most of my clients have long standing conditions and this can take time. However, you should see some improvements after an initial consultation period. Everyone is different and the mind and body needs time to heal.
